The company was founded in 2008 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Ćlava (Spain) with the aim of developing AI software to optimize industrial processes in heavy industries such as cement, oil and gas, and chemicals.

The company secured its first customer and completed incubation at Tecnalia, marking operational deployment of OPTIBATĀ® real-time optimization software since 2011.

OPTIMITIVE began commercialization through international partnerships, expanding OPTIBATĀ® deployments across Europe, Americas, Asia, and Africa in multiple sectors.
First Patent Issued
The company received its first patent (US10510016B2) for "Skill Composition" technology underpinning OPTIBATĀ®'s autonomous self-learning AI for real-time process.
New CEO
Fernando de la Prida was appointed CEO, succeeding founder Javier A. GarcĆa Sedano (CTO since then), to drive growth in AI optimization solutions.
