Introduction
Behind every company, beyond great professionals, there are people: men and women who, with their courage, motivation, and daily effort — but also with their fears, insecurities, and concerns — build brands, form teams, develop products, and bring to market solutions that improve their customers' lives and, as in our case, the world we live in.
This post is about the relationship between OPTIMITIVE and people.
In recent weeks, OPTIMITIVE has been at the center of two events that deserve reflection in these lines. First, the Novia Salcedo Foundation, a private non-profit organization that supports young people in improving their employability, awarded OPTIMITIVE its Best Practice Award in Diversity and Migrant Talent Integration. Second, our office welcomed a group of seniors from the Los Ángeles Parish in Vitoria-Gasteiz, leaving us with truly heartwarming moments.
Diversity as a path to growing as people
The award by Novia Salcedo Foundation is part of the program "Tejiendo Oportunidades" ("Weaving Opportunities," in English), funded by the Department of Employment, Social Cohesion and Equality of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. The reason behind the award simply reflects OPTIMITIVE's organizational culture, which is built around respect, diversity, and inclusion, with HR policies geared toward equal opportunity.
The company firmly believes that cultural diversity elevates employees both personally and professionally, improving access to talent and enriching the workplace through cultural initiatives and internal events that foster an inclusive environment.
This policy is also fully aligned with OPTIMITIVE's international nature, as the company already operates across 7 major regions worldwide (Europe, North America, South America, Africa, the Middle East, India, and Asia).
As a result, OPTIMITIVE currently counts 7 different nationalities among its employees — and, more importantly, across all levels of leadership.
Artificial Intelligence for everyone
Meanwhile, a group of seniors from the Los Ángeles Parish in Vitoria-Gasteiz recently visited the company's office, eager to learn more about OPTIMITIVE. During their visit, they were invited on a brief "shared" journey through the history of computing, eventually arriving at an explanation of what the company does and what Artificial Intelligence is all about.
What followed was one of those moments that connect generations: a journey from the Vitoria-Gasteiz of nearly a century ago to the present day, sparking a wealth of deeply moving personal stories and anecdotes.
And, of course, there was also time to gather impressions — like those of Ildara, who learned what Artificial Intelligence is all about and even encouraged OPTIMITIVE to bring this technology closer to small businesses and the family household, drawn by the cost savings it could bring to everyday life, since "people want to avoid unnecessary expenses."
Isabel also wanted to share her perspective, suggesting that OPTIMITIVE's knowledge of Artificial Intelligence be passed on within the education system (high schools, universities, etc.) so that future generations can take the lead in this technology.
From human to human
These two recent events share a common thread: people. People who, on one hand, have the same opportunities as anyone else, regardless of their background. And people who, on the other hand, have had the chance to learn what Artificial Intelligence is all about later in life.
Because that is what OPTIMITIVE is truly about: the person behind the professional, who carries the company's values forward to everyone else.
