OPTIMITIVE’s Foundation
The company was founded in 2008 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Álava (Spain) with the aim of developing AI software to optimize industrial processes in heavy industries such as cement, oil and gas, and chemicals.
First Customer. End of Incubation
The company secured its first customer and completed incubation at Tecnalia, marking operational deployment of OPTIBAT® real-time optimization software since 2011.
First Institutional Investor. Early Stage
OPTIMITIVE raised its first institutional funding in a €1.4M early-stage round, supporting product development and market entry.
Start of Commercialization
OPTIMITIVE began commercialization through international partnerships, expanding OPTIBAT® deployments across Europe, Americas, Asia, and Africa in multiple sectors.
First Patent Issued
The company received its first patent (US10510016B2) for "Skill Composition" technology underpinning OPTIBAT®'s autonomous self-learning AI for real-time process.
New CEO
Fernando de la Prida was appointed CEO, succeeding founder Javier A. García Sedano (CTO since then), to drive growth in AI optimization solutions.

OPTIMITIVE achieved a 50% of growth, fueled by expanding OPTIBAT® installations optimizing over 65 industrial sites globally.
